1. Introduction & Acceptance

Welcome to Salah Companion, a platform operated by IlmLabs that provides prayer times information for mosques across the United Kingdom. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

Our Service enables mosques to share their prayer times with their communities and allows users to find accurate, mosque-verified prayer times for locations throughout the UK.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account on Salah Companion. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old.

If you are registering as a mosque manager, you must have legitimate affiliation with the mosque you wish to manage. This includes being:

• An imam or religious leader of the mosque
• A member of the mosque committee or board
• An authorised administrator or staff member
• Otherwise officially authorised to act on behalf of the mosque

We reserve the right to request documentation to verify your affiliation with a mosque at any time.

3. Account Terms

3.1 Registration

To access certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. When registering, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information, and to update this information to keep it accurate and complete.

3.2 Verification Process

New mosque manager accounts are subject to a verification process that typically takes 2-3 business days. During this time, we may contact you or your mosque to verify your identity and affiliation. You will be notified by email once your account has been approved.

3.3 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.

3.4 Account Suspension & Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if we reasonably believe that:

• You have violated these Terms
• You have provided inaccurate or misleading information about your mosque affiliation
• Your account has been used for fraudulent or illegal activities
• Your continued use poses a risk to the Service or other users

4. Acceptable Use

When using our Service, you agree to:

• Provide accurate mosque and prayer times information to the best of your knowledge
• Only manage mosques for which you have legitimate authorisation
• Keep prayer times up to date, especially during seasonal changes and Ramadan
• Ensure any notices or announcements comply with applicable laws

You agree not to:

• Misrepresent your affiliation with any mosque or organisation
• Submit false, misleading, or harmful content including prayer times
• Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the Service
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service
• Use the Service to transmit spam, viruses, or malicious code
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users or mosque communities

5. User Content

5.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Service, including mosque details, prayer times, images, and notices. However, by submitting content, you grant IlmLabs a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your content in connection with operating and improving the Service.

5.2 Content Moderation

We reserve the right to review, moderate, and remove any content that violates these Terms or that we deem inappropriate, offensive, or harmful. This includes but is not limited to:

• Inaccurate or misleading mosque information
• Notices containing hateful, violent, or illegal content
• Content that infringes on intellectual property rights
• Spam or commercial advertisements unrelated to the mosque

6. Subscriptions & Payments

6.1 Pro Features

Certain features of the Service require a paid subscription ("Pro"). Pro features include advanced mosque management tools, analytics, priority support, and additional customisation options.

6.2 Billing

Subscriptions are billed in advance on a weekly, monthly, or yearly basis depending on the plan you select. All payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your payment card details.

6.3 Auto-Renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings.

6.4 Cancellation & Refunds

When you cancel your subscription, you will retain access to Pro features until the end of your current billing period. We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods, except where required by law or at our sole discretion for exceptional circumstances.

7. Intellectual Property

The Salah Companion name, logo, and all related branding are trademarks of IlmLabs. You may not use our trademarks without our prior written permission.

The Service and its original content (excluding user-submitted content), features, and functionality are owned by IlmLabs and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

8. Disclaimers

8.1 Prayer Times Accuracy

Prayer times displayed on the Service are submitted by mosque managers and are intended as a guide. While we strive to ensure accuracy, IlmLabs is not responsible for any errors in mosque-submitted prayer times. We encourage users to verify prayer times directly with their mosque when possible.

8.2 Service Availability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

8.3 Third-Party Content

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, IlmLabs and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

• Your access to or use of (or inability to use) the Service
• Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service
• Any content obtained from the Service
• Unauthorised access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content

In no event shall our total liability exceed the greater of one hundred pounds (£100) or the amount you have paid to us in the past twelve months.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on the Service prior to the changes becoming effective.

Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you should discontinue your use of the Service.
